![]() ![]() The old X2 style of crosshair with the target and your own shield/hull status is golden. The cursor requires a tail from the center of the screen because there are lots of situations when the "wheretogo" apply. It has NO changing colours like it supposed to. If you turn the ship to the right the stick/wheel/younameit supposed to turn to that direction right? Otherwise it KILLS the immersion !ĭisplay is another issue. The wheel itself is just a visual stuff without any movement. HUD wise there is no interactive buttons there. You can argue that you can not reach the outside of a glass but as it seems to me they are not windows. If you buy a new windshield for your car and it is already dirty and scratched you instantly want to apply warranti right? So if you using them for a year or so and they become dirty then you should replace it. ![]() Sometimes I find that, after several manoeuvres in combat, I am now stationary, but don't know it right away because of the placement of that display, which could so easily have been tucked in the bottom milddle, or combined with the weapons (as it is in one of the other configurations) or even swapped with the weapons display - seriously, the weapons display being given the better spot makes no sense - when I pull the trigger, I KNOW what I have armed, and as for missiles, they are used more sporadically, so shifting gaze to a less-used screen quadrant for that would be much less of a problem. I totally agree - that unnecessary separation of possibly the most important display is annoying to say the least.
